One of the projects over the past few months was to turn the good information in this show into an e-book available for download from the Flea Market Money Maker website (the bad information is now on the cutting room floor). Welcome to the Flea Market Money Maker show with your host, Troy. We’re going to talk about all aspects of making money not by some get-rich-quick-leave-you-worst-off-than-you-started scheme, but by using your wits, skill and intuition in a way that’s as old as the hills.
Hey, thank you so much for buying this ebook. I am Troy, your author, and over the next little bit, you’re going to get introduced to three things.
First, I’m going to introduce you to myself; a general, personal introduction. Secondly, I want to introduce you to the threefold purpose of all the flea market money maker efforts. At the very beginning, you’re going to get the grand design of what we’re going to bet talking about for the life of the show. Then, thirdly, you’re going to be introduced to how you can contact us. All of these three things are going to work together and it’s going to make sense. Let’s jump right into it.
I’m going to give you a personal introduction of me, Troy. Hello. I’ve been in flea marketing for quite a while now on both sides of the table, and I got to tell you, it’s something I completely love.
Not as much as I love my wife. We’ve been married for almost 17 years, happily married for about 4. No, kidding – I’m kidding, we are 16-year veterans of the marriage campaign and doing quite well.
We have three kids. An 18 year-old son, 17 year-old daughter, and a 4 year-old daughter. There are stories – a ton of stories – about each of their ages and histories and whatever. I live in Central Kentucky. I have lived several places ranging from Scotland, to Northern Ireland, I’ve been in Israel for a while. I graduated from a wonderful college named Berea College. Going there gave me all of these travel opportunities. And Berea allowed me to meet my wonderful wife. And like computers, and have a wonderful job. If you have any questions about that I can expand on them further shoot me an email, my life is an open book.
Second, I want to give you the purpose of all the Flea Market Money Maker efforts and, by George, there are three, as I said before, there are three reasons. The first reason is I want to document my adventure as a flea market vendor. I want to talk through all the mistakes that I made, as a vendor at a flea market, and then share tips of things that have worked really well. Really, five years down the road, when I look back at these I want to be able to say, Oh, yeah. I remember that, or Oooh. You know, I’m glad that I didn’t do that again. So, documenting my adventure is a more personal purpose, it is something that you may be able to learn from.
The second thing is kind of tied to that, and I really want to share information that I have learned from a variety of sources.. I want to provide you information on sources and tips and tricks that I found out through my research making my flea market vendor business stronger. I want to expand upon the principles and vision for providing this unique service to the people that you see. From there, I want to encourage you to continue this adventure of flea marketing.
The last thing I want to do is actually build community in which we can learn from each other. Believe it or not, I don’t know everything that there is about flea marketing, and I want us to be a place where we can talk to each other about it and learn from each other.
